The work of this artist reflects the style and sophistication of Rembrandt, who died in 1669 near where de Adrien Ferdinand de Braekeleer was born into a family of artists 139 years later. It is evident that de Braekeleer followed Rembrandt with skill. This painting is on mahogany panel hosted by its original hand carved frame that is and of itself is a work of art. This superb painting would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
