This painting was originally purchased from the estate of Vincent Compagno, the subject. This painting was exhibited at "The Bohemian Club" (San Francisco), where both the artist and subject were members. Born in Chicago, Palmer was a noted cartoonist, painter, and etcher. For much of his career he was an animator for Disney Studios. Arthur Palmer's contributions to American portraiture and Disney Studios are widely acclaimed. Original frame.
