This gorgeous painting by Edouard Cortes entails a scene of the beautiful, one of a kind, Paris. The painting takes place at night and Cortes uses a nice blend of dark colors to make the sky look so realistic. There are people on the left of the painting, touring the city shoppes. The street depicts the usual business of Paris with cars traveling. It is winter in the painting, shown by some snow on the ground and on the tree branches. Last, this painting shows what Cortes is known for, his ambient lighting of businesses and street lights at night. The shops and lights have a rich amber and golden mixture that illuminate them in the dark city. Truly a beautiful painting.
